OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES IN FREDERICKSBURG THIS WEEK NEAR CHATHAM BRIDGE
Lane closures are scheduled on William Street and Sophia Street on Tuesday - Thursday evenings for utility relocation ahead of Chatham Bridge project

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Overnight single lane closures are scheduled this week on William Street and Sophia Street in Fredericksburg to allow crews to relocate telecommunications utilities ahead of construction work for a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) project to improve the Chatham Bridge.

Lane closures are scheduled at the following dates, times and locations, weather permitting:

Tuesday, March 17 – Thursday, March 19 (ending early Friday, March 20)

William Street and Sophia Street

  • 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. – Overnight single lane closures on William Street between Caroline Street and Sophia Street, and on Sophia Street between William Street and Amelia Street. Crews will be moving telecommunications utilities.
