WHITE OAK ROAD CLOSED IN STAFFORD COUNTY
Route 218 is closed in both directions for a vehicle crash near Kendallwood Drive; Detour route is Ferry Road and Town and Country Drive

4:15 p.m. UPDATE: White Oak Road is now open in Stafford County. Route 218 (White Oak Road) was closed earlier today after a vehicle crash near Kendallwood Drive. The detour has been lifted.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 218 (White Oak Road) in Stafford County is closed in both directions for a vehicle crash in the Kendallwood Drive area. 

Traffic is being detoured to Ferry Road and Town and Country Drive. 

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible. For motorists who must use the detour route, please follow traffic control direction at the scene and allow additional travel time. 

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are on scene to assist emergency responders with traffic control. 

No immediate reopening time is available. Motorists can find real-time information on lane closures, work zones, traffic and other incidents on 511Virginia.
