PRIM ROAD REOPENS IN KING GEORGE COUNTY AT MATTOX CREEK
VDOT state forces bridge crew completed a major bridge rehabilitation project today that replaced the bridge's beams, deck and rail

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 625 (Prim Road) in King George County reopened today at Mattox Creek after a major bridge rehabilitation project.

A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) state forces bridge crew replaced the bridge's steel beams and wooden deck and rails, and made repairs to the bridge's substructure. The bridge was built in 1970.

Traffic had been detoured since construction began in mid-April 2023. Around 124 vehicles a day travel Prim Road.
