Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges November 13 – 17 for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Monday, November 13
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sign installation. Traffic will be directed to continue farther east to Route 50 West, stay to the right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 286 North.
Monday night, November 13, through Friday night, November 17
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed on multiple nights from midnight to 4 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) West, stay to the right to I-495 South, then follow signs to I-66 West.
Tuesday, November 14
Ramp from I-495 South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be detoured farther south to the exit to Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard) East, stay to the right to Fairview Park, take the left fork to Fairview Park North, bear left at the traffic signal, stay to the right following signs to I-495 North and I-66, then follow signs to I-66 West.
Wednesday night, November 15, through Friday night, November 17
Ramp from I-66 West to I-495 South
The ramp will be closed on multiple nights from midnight to 4 a.m. for restriping. Traffic will be directed to continue farther west to Nutley Street, stay to the left on the ramp and follow the roundabout onto Nutley Street South, stay right to I-66 East, then follow signs to I-495 South.
Friday night, November 17
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 50 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for utility installation and punch list work. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road), stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal onto Route 123 North, stay right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 50 West.
All work is weather and/or schedule dependent and may be rescheduled as needed.
